The Exceptional Singularity Project™

Tell us your story. Messy is fine.

This isn't a polished application. It's the raw material, every job, every skill, everything you've learned that you didn't know counted, plus the federal announcement this resume gets built for. Write it however it comes out. We'll sort through it and match it to what that announcement actually asks for.

Before you start

Please do not include any of the following anywhere in this form:

  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Banking, credit card, or financial account information
  • Passwords or login credentials to any account

None of it is needed to build a resume, and we don't want to be holding it.

Pricing and what happens next

$449 for one resume built to one announcement, three revisions included. $179 for an additional announcement using the same base history. $699 for a three-announcement bundle. Work begins once this is reviewed and payment is received, not before.

You will not be added to a mailing list, and you will not get repeated emails asking you to "finish" anything. You can request that everything you submit here be permanently deleted at any time, for any reason, no explanation needed. Just email hello@theexceptionalsingularityproject.com with "Delete My Information" and it will be done.

Before We Start
The Basics
A throwaway email works fine here if you'd rather not use your main one. You can put your real contact information into the finished resume yourself.
Have A Resume Already? (optional)
If you've got an old resume lying around, upload it as a Word document (.docx) and we'll pull what we can straight from it, saves you retyping things you've already written. This doesn't replace telling your story below in your own words, it's just a head start. No resume yet? Totally fine, skip this.
Word documents only (.docx), up to 8MB. We can read those cleanly and accurately. PDFs and older .doc files can be misread in ways that get details wrong, and we'd rather ask you to convert than risk that.

Only have a PDF?

Takes about a minute to turn it into a Word doc:

  • Have Microsoft Word? File → Open → select your PDF. Word converts it automatically. Then File → Save As → choose Word Document (.docx).
  • No Word? Google Docs is free. Upload the PDF to Google Drive, right-click it, choose "Open with Google Docs," then File → Download → Microsoft Word (.docx).

Or just skip the upload, that's completely fine too, we'll build everything from what you write below.

Your Goal
None of this shows up on your resume, it just helps us understand what you're aiming for. "I'm not totally sure yet" is a completely fine answer to any of these.
Even a rough guess or two is useful. "Something in logistics" is fine if that's as specific as it gets right now.
Schedule, location, remote vs. in-person, pay floor, whatever actually matters to you.
The Target Announcement
This is built for one federal announcement on USAJOBS or another federal hiring system, not a generic resume sent everywhere and not a private-sector posting. If that's not what you're applying to, this isn't the right form, email hello@theexceptionalsingularityproject.com instead and it can be sorted out separately.
Captures everything automatically, including the Qualifications and specialized experience language, and the announcement's own page limit.
Useful if the announcement requires a login or might close before this is done. PDF, JPG, or PNG, up to 8MB.
Skills
Don't just list software or tools. Think about what you're actually good at: staying calm under pressure, training new people, handling money accurately, fixing things no one else could figure out, talking someone down when they're upset. Write it like you're explaining it to a friend, not filling out a form.
Education & Training
Degrees, certifications, military schools, licenses, coursework, apprenticeships. Doesn't have to be complete or finished, include it even if you're still working on it.
Job History
One block per job. Doesn't need to be in order. For each one, think: Did you train or supervise anyone? Handle money or inventory? Solve a problem that kept happening? Meet deadlines under real pressure? Deal directly with upset customers? Write it messy if that's how it comes out, we'll clean it up.
General rule of thumb: focus on the last 10-15 years unless something older is directly relevant to the job you're targeting. Older roles can usually be summarized briefly or left off.
Language Proficiency (optional)
Any language besides English you're comfortable working in, and roughly how comfortable, conversational, fluent, native, whatever fits.
Volunteer Work & Extracurriculars
Clubs, sports, coaching, church, community organizing, caring for a family member, anything you gave real time to.
Honors & Awards
Anything Else
The catch-all. A paragraph, a list, a stream of consciousness, whatever didn't fit above. This is where the messy stuff goes. We'll read all of it.
